My Story

After living in a small apartment for 10 years with my husband and 2 children, I was ready for a house! If you've ever lived in an apartment, you can empathize with the frustrations of apartment living- People always in your parking space, constant changing neighbors, the noise! We dealt with the neighbors water pouring in to our apartment through the ceiling...All kinds of fun things! Then we finally got the opportunity to move into a house! I had sweet visions of having a beautiful, lush yard surrounded by a cute fence, with lots of trees, perhaps even a pond and to feed my birds and a relaxing water fountain. I wanted to fix up a place of my own and make it wonderful inside. I wanted to paint however I felt like. You know, the American Dream...your own house on your own street with your own fence. That day was finally realized. We got a house! I loved picking out the floors and counters and enjoyed the building process. Here is me, taking a break from happily pounding away.
